The introduction of "REALLY"...

So Johnathan used to always say "I want this..." or "I want that..." But now, as of last week or so when my Dad and Teresa were here visiting, he started saying, "I REALLLLLY want a cookie." Or "I Reallllllly want to play that game". It's like a huge bit of emphasis has been added.
It tugs on the parent's heart-strings. : ) hee hee. It's pretty funny, and cute.

I'm 20 weeks!

My belly is definitely a lot bigger this time around! Man it popped out early and is growing early! I can't imagine how I'll feel still 20 weeks from now. Crazy! I might be humongous at the end. I'm also getting bad varicose veins with this pregnancy. Not fun...but it's all worth this precious little boy inside. I'm so grateful and so excited. Can't believe I'm half way done already.

Digging a hole...That's Amazing!

Sept 2nd, 2011.

The Expensive Sewer Pipe Dig

My car was parked across the street at Ted & Aniva's house while they dug up our yard.

They gingerly kept our "quasi-alive" grass for us. : )

Johnathan LOVED watching this whole process! I'll try to get a video of him on here of him going "That's amazing!" One time I said, "Wow, that is crazy deep". And he started saying "That's a crazy hole...". I think they dug down 9-10 feet deep.

Deep hole cont...

Look at that mound of dirt...almost to our roof!

Another pregnant friend picture

We did this one at Juliane's baby shower breakfast (on right). I just think this one is funny because Amanda's son Oliver snuck in it and was patting his belly too. Pretty cute.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

This is just a cute picture of Johnathan "hugging" Denver. He loves his little buddy Denver. : )

We got free tickets from a friend. Johnathan love the T-Rex dinosaur. ; )

He was going..."Roaaar".

Moose Ears.

This was a really cute exhibit in the kids area in the "Expedition Health" section. The kids loved putting their hand prints in there. But look to the right...that is my pregnant belly. : ) Hee hee.

Plumbing Update

So, the saga of our house continues. We are on hold right now for the construction downstairs to start (to rebuild everything they tore down)...for 1-2 weeks. So we decided to get the plumber out here to fix the problem that started this whole mess. Yesterday, he came out and replaced the whole pipe and I paid him $1,610. Can I just say, it's hard not to hate the fix N' flippers. The plumber told us when he took off the toilet in our upstairs guest bathroom (to get access to the pipe), he found that they had installed that toilet onto rotten wood and flooring and there was a big gap. So they basically secured the toilet to the pipe itself and nothing else. Great! So the plumber took out the rotten wood and secured it better with a big block of wood. He was amazed water didn't leak to the basement before. The new pipe looks MUCH better!
I also told him that our bathtub downstairs had backed up with sewage like 3 or 4 times. So he thought we should "scope" the pipes below it with a camera to see if there were roots or blockages. So we did that at 9am this morning and Nate stayed home from work in the morning. I'm so glad he did because we found a big problem! The scope showed that not only are there some roots, but that the pipes almost out to the street were "shifted" from one another, so the upper pipe was sinking into the ground and not lining up with the female pipe. This problem would only get worse and worse over the next 2-3 years and eventually cause another major back up and we'd have the same type of flood again and probably worse. So this was a "must-be-fixed" problem. If it is in the city street below concrete, it is automatically at least $7,600. Guess how short we came up from the street? Any guesses?
Just 3 feet! So we almost had a HUGE bill. But God took care of us on this one. So it's in our front yard, and they need to dig down and replace/fix the pipe. They are also going to pressure wash the inside of the pipes because there was a lot of corrosion. So the total bill we agree'd to is $4,190. So once again, we are getting a major hit on our savings. This has been so much fun. Doesn't look like we'll be going anywhere anytime soon. Time to save again. : )
They are fixing that problem tomorrow 9/2/11.

We're Having a Boy!

We had our official ultrasound on Monday, August 29th...and we found out we are having another boy! Wow, I was shocked! I had strong feelings that I was having a girl...but I guess I was way wrong. This pregnancy has just been different, which probably just attributes to having a toddler in my daily life now. But, Johnathan is for sure having a baby brother. It was very clear again this time. No question.
He even sucks his thumb like Johnathan does. : )
So we're having fun thinking of names for him. We still struggle with boy names. I wonder if we'll ever be able to use our girl name. When we came out of the ultrasound, the first thing Nate asked me is, "So, does this mean we're for sure trying for a 3rd?". I laughed and said, "I don't know...maybe". : ) We're excited to give Johnathan a brother!
