A Baby is there!

We went to our First OB appointment today for this second pregnancy. It all went very well. I'm still going to the midwives at University of Colorado Hospital this time. I saw Rebecca Berman, CNM today and she was very sweet. We asked if she could just quickly look with the ultrasound just to confirm there is a heartbeat. She said "No Prob!" She first tried with the doppler and couldn't find it (I'm just now 10 weeks today). So we went down the hall and put the ultrasound on and there was our little baby, looking fine and heartbeat flickering away. And it is measuring right around 10 weeks. You can even see little arm and leg buds there (right about where the little star or plus sign is). So it was a good first appointment and they drew all my prenatal labs. We won't have a "real" ultrasound until between 18-20 weeks and then we'll find out the gender!

First Time on the Big Boy Potty!

We had a breakthrough last night! One of those proud moments. : ) For the first time last night, Johnathan went pee on the "big boy potty"! We were shocked and proud. He was getting in his PJ's and said to Nate, "Potty Daddy, potty...". So Nate took him and sat him on this little "Diego" seat that you put on the adult toilet seat, and he sat there and actually went pee. Yeah! Maybe we're close to trying to potty train him! That'd be great if it happened before the next baby came.
