32 Weeks Pregnant! and 3D ultrasound

So I am now 32 weeks pregnant! Yeah, so exciting! My belly is definitely a lot bigger. I'm right on track with weight gain. We did a really neat thing on Saturday. We went to a company called First View Ultrasound and got a 3D/4D ultrasound just for fun (& some money). 4D ultrasound is 3D with motion I guess. Anyway, it was worth the money and a really neat experience. And we kinda got to see what he looks like! Got some great pictures of his face. I will send another blog of the ultrasound photos soon. But you can see the one with Nate holding up one of the photos they printed off for us. We also got a DVD of the whole session set to music. And we got a picture CD with like 50 black & white photos. He's growing in there and looks like a very healthy baby. Can't believe how soon it is till we meet him.

Nursery coming together

So now that the baby shower for Eiko is over and the house is mostly put together, we started working on the Nursery. When we bought this house, the nursery room had this little added-in skinny closet that had nothing in it, not even a closet rod. So we "got" to build it ourselves and exactly how we wanted it. So I wanted to show you one of our projects. We made the closet shelves ourselves. We put in a top shelf (and the molding wood around the wall to hold the shelf up), then a closet rod underneath that. Then we put in two more shelves below to store more baby-stuff. It is already so much more user friendly! I love it! It was actually a fun project. Then we put up the stuffed animals in the corner and decided to add our kitty Denver to it. : ) hee hee. It doesn't really show it but Nate is actually just balancing him right in front of it. I don't think those hooks could hold his weight! : ) Just another E.T. like photo.

Eiko's baby shower in Denver

We threw a baby shower for Eiko Browning at our house on May 23rd. It turned out really nice and we all had a great time! Eiko & I had to get another pregnant buddy bellies picture. I was 31 weeks and Eiko was 35 weeks. The middle picture is with Katie Amend too (my co-host). Then we got a great bellies picture in order starting with Joe (hee hee), then me, then Eiko. So funny! Joe's a good sport.

Spokane trip pics

These are just some of my favorite Spokane pictures from this trip (May 6th - 12th). My Mom with her grandson Gabe (Rachel's boy) and grandaughter Leia (Jen's girl). The hands picture was my idea because I realized this was the first time all 4 of us girls (my Mom and us 3 sisters) were all married and had wedding rings on. So we got a cute picture of our hands and all 4 rings. Can you tell who's who? Then a very cute picture of me with my Dad, my Husband, and my Uncle Jim. We were up at my Dad's river home in Pend O'rielle. The last picture is a pregnant pic of me with my Mama. Ahhhh.

Spokane Baby Shower

I had a GREAT time at my baby shower at home! It was at my Mom's house on May 8th. A lot of family came and some good friends too. My two sisters put it on for me and did a great job! The food was great and the games were fun and we had really yummy mint chocolate chip ice-cream cake. I love the picture of the two grandma's of this baby and me (for those of you who don't know, Jan Pennock on the left, Bonnie Bell on the right). The lower picture is my two Corwin nieces playing with the baby boy balloons (Leia calls them Bobo's).

Chloe Marie Reamer

Andi & John Reamer had their baby girl on April 24th, 2009 at 12:53pm and they named her Chloe. She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz at birth and was 21 & 1/2 inches long (tall baby!). She is very cute as you can see. I wanted to show you the first picture because it shows me pregnant still with my boy while holding their little girl. The last pic is funny because Chloe is looking up to latch on to something...either Mom or Dad! : ) It was fun seeing her briefly during our Spokane visit.

Angie's Mom's Wedding!

So we went back to Spokane, WA for Angie's baby shower (I'm a lucky girl and get two...one in spokane and one in denver)....and my Mom got married when we were home! She married Butch Andersen, a very nice guy she met at a church dance last year. They got married at Priest Lake at the Hudson's cabin, just down the road from our cabin. It was a beautiful wedding on 5/7/09. The first picture is Laura (my niece) by the sand ceremony table. Then Nate & I in the beautiful mountains by the lake. Then the family, then Mom & Butch cutting their beautiful cake (which was made at Priest Lake and was appropriately chocolate with a Huckleberry center). Delicious! Very fun wedding with mostly just family. I'm happy for them.

28 weeks Pregnant & a New House!

Here is our first HOME we've ever owned! We are new homeowners!!! So exciting! This is me on closing day right after all the papers were signed April 23rd, 2009. It is ours! It is in Aurora, CO. It is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom ranch-style home with a finished basement...totally renovated with brand new appliances, counters, cabinets, paint, carpet, windows, and doors. And a great yard in the back. Great place to start our family! So the purple shirt picture is my 28 week photo! Me & the baby are definitely getting bigger. I am still LOVING being pregnant and feeling him kick all the time. His kicks are getting much stronger and more regular. Nate's feeling him kick more often now too. I'm feeling pretty good and have a lot of energy still. Which is good because moving-in is A LOT of work!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

We went to the zoo in Colorado Springs when Dad & T were here. These are my two favorite pictures. Man those giraffes have long tongues to eat those crackers! Anyone who can go to that zoo really should!

Dad's visit April 16th-21st '09

So Dad and Teresa came to visit us in Denver, CO right before we moved into our new house. It was our last visitors in our Breakers apartment! We had a great time for 5 days. The first two days we had a fluke snow storm in the middle of April! Tons of snow! The first picture was the first nice day when the snow started to melt. The 2nd pic is my Dad and I at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs (all 4 of us stayed there for one night). Then the 4 of us at the Broadmoor golfcourse (just using as a background). Then a cute pregnancy picture of Nate & I (Nate looks GQ to me). : ) I am 26 weeks here.

Cuddly Kitties

Look who thinks he's the baby boy. : ) hee hee. Denver layed in that baby sack for hours one night...he loved it. And then that's Bella snuggling with my Dad's head when he was here visiting. She liked him a lot.

Uncle Jim

Uncle Jim came and visited us for one night while he was here on business in Colorado Springs. We always have a blast hanging out with him!

Angie & Eiko

I realized I don't have any pictures of Eiko & I on here yet! This is us hanging out with nonalcoholic fruit drinks with Angie at 22 weeks and Eiko at 26 weeks at Doug & Eiko's apartment at The Breakers. The second picture is with their brand new crib! Eiko is due June 26th '09. It is VERY fun having a pregnant friend so close!

Quick Update

So I noticed I never gave you the result of Nate's interviews (all of you know already). Nate got in to BOTH schools for a PhD in Immunology!!! So he had to choose and we both discussed it seriously for a couple weeks before deciding. As you know, we decided that Nate would go to University of Colorado to get his PhD. They are both great schools, but the family/home life was much better here. Houses are affordable here, we love the area and outdoor activities (mtns), we love our church, we have great friends here, and Angie loves her job here (and has a day shift position, which she would probably lose in Seattle). So, we are staying in Denver for 5-6 more years!!! It is official! Nate starts in the end of August '09 so he might be done around 2014 or 2015 (wow that sounds far away). : ) So, what's this picture about? We started looking for houses after we figured out our plan, and we got a great realtor named Mike Cooke (he was also our loan agent). We looked for about one month and saw almost 30 houses! It felt like a long process. But we found one we LOVED and put an offer on it that day! It was up for $230, we put the offer in at $220...the next day they counteroffered $227 and we accepted! We felt like it was gonna go fast so we quickly said YES! It is a GREAT price for an amazing house! Tell you more about it later.
