We took a FABULOUS road trip to South Dakota on Sept 24-26th, 2011. We wanted to go on one more trip as a family before our family changed again and it got even MORE difficult to travel (with more kids). This was Johnathan's first road trip. We probably won't be flying much more at all anymore due to cost of 3-4 people now. We won't fly again until next summer (august to spokane). Anyway, we've always wanted to go see Mount Rushmore. So we finally went! It is only a 6 hour drive from Denver, CO! So this was the time to go.
Crazy Horse was our first stop and it was really cool to see. They still only have the face done (and a little big of the pointing finger). It is VERY slow going work. We will definitely all be gone by the time it is done.
