The reason we drove to South Dakota! And what an amazing sight it was to see! We first arrived in the evening (we went twice)...and Johnathan right away started calling it, "The Faces". He always wanted to go see "the faces".

Hiked the Presidential Trail on a gorgeous day at Mt. Rushmore. Johnathan wasn't asleep...he was just resting his head on his blankie.

This is what the "plan" was. It actually included their upper bodies for the most part...but that was never finished. Abraham Lincoln still doesn't even have his left ear!
