After Thanksgiving

We got Johnathan's picture with Santa this year at the Denver Zoo Lights - members preview. We had SO much fun there and it wasn't too cold. The line wasn't that long, and Johnathan wasn't scared of Santa at all! He even looked up at him and said, "I want swords for Christmas!" Then he got a candy cane from him.

Johnathan thought it would be very funny to put on Teresa's boots. We were all laughing pretty hard. Teresa, Rachel, and Rikki were in colorado for a wedding the weekend after thanksgiving so they visited us one afternoon. Had a fun time!

Thanksgiving pictures

Here's Johnathan in the start of the merge to his big boy room. : ) This is what the office used to be (now it's downstairs). This was right around thanksgiving time.

Here's the family on Thanksgiving day. It was beautiful and warm that day, and we played basketball and football outside in the front lawn.

The day after thanksgiving, we all took Johnathan to a place in Littleton called "Pump it up"...a big jumping place for little kids. He had SO much fun.

Look at the static in his hair! Crazy!

Thanksgiving

This year, we had Jan (Nate's Mom) and Keith (Nate's brother) here in Denver for Thanksgiving. It was great to have them come to us, as we have always flown home. (I'm not flying anywhere because of being far along in pregnancy and to save money.)
So anyway, the two fun theme's of this Thanksgiving was "swords" and "poke the bear". Johnathan was suddenly into swords like the day before they came. He always wants to sword fight now. So he was so excited to sword fight with his Uncle Keith. We did it every day. : )
Then also, we played "Poke the Bear" with Keith downstairs. He slept in the new office (which has moved downstairs to our finished basement) on a mattress on the floor. It was really dark in there so he would sleep till 9:30 or 10:30 am every morning. So when it was time for him to wake up, Nate or whoever would take Johnathan down there to his dark room with a stick and "poke the bear". Johnathan loved it! Thought it was SO funny!
Pictures of Thanksgiving on the way...

New dresser for his Big Boy room!

Here's Johnathan in the garage working on his new dresser that we got on Craig's list for only $30!!! It was in great condition, other than a lot of scratches on top. So Nate sanded it down, and then restained the whole thing. Now it looks great! Can't beat $30 bucks for a big dresser.

Johnathan was an active participant in making his dresser look like new. This was probably the beginning of November.

Miracle Upon Miracles!

A Miracle happened yesterday. : ) Hee hee! We finally got our WEDDING VIDEO from our wedding that was 4 years and 4 months ago!!!!! It is a really long story that I won't go into, but our videographer Mike Stewart totally flaked on us and never made our wedding video (even though it said in the official contract that it would be done within 8 months...yeah right!). He still even owes us $700. But anyway, my sister in California helped us out and found a guy that could edit our video for us if we gave him the raw master tapes. He did it for $500, and it is done now and we HAVE IT!!! Hallelujah! I never thought I would see this day. As you could tell, it meant a lot to me and I was so sad when I thought I could never see our wedding day again. But Nate & I watched it last night and it was great! He did a pretty good job with what he had to work with. And we have 3 copies! How exciting! And also, MAN we looked good that day! : ) hee hee

My Basketball Belly costume

This was so fun trying to make it look really real. My belly was the perfect size for this right now. Fun halloween!

Trick or Treating for Halloween

Here's our costumes! : ) I had a Basketball Belly. Perfect for this time in my life. It was so fun.

Johnathan absolutely LOVED trick or treating for the 1st time this year! He was amazed everyone was giving him candy at their door! : ) After each house, he would scream out, "I wanna go to the next house!" He was really into it and didn't want to stop. We went from about 5:30 pm to 7 pm and it was definitely dark. We did the whole "Macon St." loop. Fun seeing our neighbors too.
